From Nirvel we want to congratulate Stanpa (National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics) for its 70th anniversary.
Stanpa was founded in 1952 by a group of businessmen united by the future of the perfume and cosmetics industry in Spain. This year Stanpa celebrates 70 years bringing together more than 300 companies that work for the competitiveness, development, innovation and sustainability of the cosmetics sector. A competitive, dynamic, innovative and sustainable sector, committed to the care and well-being of people in a diverse and global society.
Today, the Cosmetic Sector generates 38,000 direct jobs and more than 250,000 indirect jobs, where quality, rigor, design and competitiveness are the keys that make Spanish cosmetics a world power. With a presence in more than 175 countries, Spain is already the world’s second largest exporter of perfumes, to the point of exporting more perfumes and cosmetics than wine or oil.
Now, Stanpa looks to the future through a firm commitment to sustainability and investment in innovation (the companies that comprise it dedicate 307 million euros a year to R&D alone) as transversal levers. A conscious, social and sustainable future for a cosmetic industry that reinvents itself every day and evolves towards an industry 5.0 through the digital transformation of companies, adapting to social changes and consumer trends.
